Research Use Policy

This Research Use Policy governs the purchase, receipt, possession, handling, storage, transfer, and use of products supplied by Arche Research.

This policy is incorporated into and forms part of the Arche Research Terms of Service. By submitting an order, making payment, accepting delivery, or obtaining products from Arche Research, the purchaser agrees to comply with this policy.

1. Research Use Only

Unless Arche Research expressly states otherwise in a signed written agreement, all products supplied by Arche Research are offered solely for lawful laboratory research, analytical, educational, development, or other non-clinical purposes.

Products are not intended, represented, labeled, or sold for:

  • Human consumption
  • Human administration
  • Veterinary consumption or administration
  • Personal or household use
  • Diagnosis of any disease or condition
  • Prevention or treatment of any disease, injury, symptom, or condition
  • Therapeutic or clinical use
  • Patient care
  • Compounding or dispensing
  • Use as a drug, medicine, food, beverage, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or consumer product
  • Use in any procedure involving a human or animal subject
  • Incorporation into a product intended for human or veterinary use

The phrase “research use only” does not authorize conduct that is otherwise unlawful.

2. Qualified Purchasers

Products may be purchased and handled only by persons or organizations capable of conducting lawful research and maintaining appropriate safeguards.

By purchasing or receiving a product, the purchaser represents and warrants that:

  • The purchaser is at least 21 years old;
  • The purchaser has legal capacity and authority to enter into the transaction;
  • The purchaser is acting for a legitimate research, analytical, educational, development, or commercial purpose;
  • The purchaser has sufficient knowledge, training, facilities, equipment, procedures, and supervision to handle the product appropriately;
  • The purchaser is not prohibited from purchasing, receiving, possessing, transporting, storing, or using the product;
  • The purchaser will obtain all licenses, registrations, permits, approvals, protocols, and institutional authorizations required for the contemplated activity; and
  • All information provided to Arche Research is accurate, complete, current, and not misleading.

Arche Research may request reasonable information concerning identity, organization, intended research purpose, destination, or legal authorization before accepting or fulfilling an order.

Arche Research may refuse or cancel any transaction when eligibility, intended use, payment, destination, or legal compliance cannot be reasonably verified.

3. Purchaser Responsibility

The purchaser is solely responsible for evaluating:

  • Whether acquisition and possession of a product are lawful
  • Whether the intended research activity is lawful
  • Whether the purchaser has appropriate qualifications and authorization
  • Product identity and suitability
  • Applicable hazards
  • Required containment measures
  • Appropriate storage conditions
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Required analytical testing
  • Compatibility with materials, instruments, and protocols
  • Waste handling and disposal requirements
  • Transportation and transfer restrictions
  • Import and export requirements
  • Required records and institutional controls

Arche Research does not supervise, approve, direct, or control the purchaser’s research activities.

Acceptance of an order does not constitute approval of the purchaser’s proposed protocol, intended application, facilities, qualifications, or compliance status.

4. Prohibited Uses

The purchaser must not directly or indirectly:

  • Consume or administer a product
  • Apply a product to or introduce it into a human or animal
  • Use a product for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, mitigation, or cure
  • Use a product in patient or veterinary care
  • Prepare a product for personal administration
  • Compound, dispense, prescribe, or provide a product as a drug or medicine
  • Use a product as an ingredient in food, beverages, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or consumer goods
  • Market a product for human or veterinary use
  • Represent that a product is safe or effective for administration
  • Provide administration instructions, dosing instructions, treatment protocols, or individualized health recommendations using Arche Research materials
  • Remove, obscure, replace, or falsify research-use labels or warnings
  • Transfer a product to a person known or reasonably suspected to intend a prohibited use
  • Circumvent purchase restrictions, identity checks, quantity limits, or other safeguards
  • Use a product in violation of applicable law, regulation, institutional policy, or professional standard

The purchaser may not use another description, sales channel, intermediary, business entity, or recipient to conceal a prohibited intended use.

5. No Approval for Human or Veterinary Use

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Arche Research products have not been approved, cleared, licensed, or authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration for human or veterinary administration, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, or clinical use.

The appearance of a compound in:

  • Scientific literature
  • Clinical trials
  • Patent filings
  • Academic research
  • Regulatory submissions
  • Investigational programs
  • Online discussions
  • Third-party catalogs
  • Foreign markets

does not establish that the specific product supplied by Arche Research is approved, safe, effective, sterile, clinically suitable, or legally authorized for administration.

A product name that is identical or similar to the name of an approved, investigational, or studied substance does not mean that the Arche Research product is the same formulation, grade, specification, manufacturing source, or finished product.

6. Product Grade and Specifications

A product is supplied only according to the specifications expressly identified in the applicable listing, label, invoice, certificate, or written agreement.

Unless expressly stated in a signed written warranty, Arche Research does not represent that a product is:

  • A finished pharmaceutical product
  • Pharmaceutical grade
  • Clinical grade
  • Medical grade
  • Injectable grade
  • Sterile
  • Aseptic
  • Pyrogen-free
  • Endotoxin-free
  • Pathogen-free
  • Suitable for compounding
  • Suitable for administration
  • Suitable for diagnostic use
  • Manufactured under standards applicable to an approved drug product
  • Suitable for any purchaser-specific protocol

Purity is not the same as identity, quantity, sterility, endotoxin status, potency, biological activity, stability, or suitability for a particular purpose.

A reported purity percentage must not be interpreted as confirmation of characteristics not specifically tested.

7. Independent Testing and Verification

The purchaser is responsible for conducting or obtaining any verification required for the purchaser’s research.

Depending on the application, appropriate verification may include testing for:

  • Identity
  • Quantity
  • Purity
  • Concentration
  • Composition
  • Moisture
  • Residual solvents
  • Counterions
  • Related substances
  • Biological activity
  • Stability
  • Compatibility
  • Sterility
  • Bioburden
  • Endotoxins
  • Other relevant characteristics

Any certificate of analysis, laboratory report, test result, specification, or supplier document applies only within its stated scope, sample, lot, method, date, detection limits, uncertainty, and laboratory conditions.

Different laboratories or analytical methods may produce different results.

Arche Research does not guarantee that a purchaser or third-party laboratory will reproduce a reported result.

8. Scientific Literature and Research Information

Arche Research may provide or reference scientific studies, abstracts, mechanisms, pathways, investigational topics, or other technical information.

Such information is provided for general research context only.

Scientific references:

  • Do not constitute instructions for use
  • Do not establish the identity or performance of a specific product or lot
  • Do not establish safety or effectiveness
  • Do not constitute medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary, legal, or regulatory advice
  • Do not authorize human or veterinary administration
  • Do not guarantee reproducibility
  • May involve different substances, formulations, quantities, routes, populations, methods, or conditions
  • May be preliminary, disputed, incomplete, superseded, or subsequently withdrawn

The purchaser must independently review the complete source material and determine whether it is relevant to the purchaser’s research.

Statements such as “studied for,” “investigated for,” “associated with,” or “research suggests” describe areas of research and are not claims that the product will produce a particular outcome.

9. Handling and Storage

The purchaser is responsible for implementing appropriate receiving, handling, storage, access-control, and inventory procedures.

The purchaser must:

  • Review available product and safety information
  • Perform an appropriate hazard assessment
  • Restrict access to qualified personnel
  • Use appropriate containment and protective equipment
  • Prevent contamination and cross-contamination
  • Maintain appropriate storage conditions
  • Protect products from unauthorized access, diversion, loss, and misuse
  • Maintain accurate identification and records
  • Avoid transferring products into unlabeled containers
  • Develop procedures for spills, exposure, equipment failure, and emergencies
  • Dispose of products and waste lawfully

General storage information does not replace a purchaser-specific stability assessment.

Arche Research is not responsible for degradation, contamination, loss of identity, loss of activity, or other changes resulting from conditions after delivery.

10. Relabeling, Repackaging, and Modification

The purchaser must not remove or obscure:

  • Product identity
  • Lot or batch information
  • Research-use wording
  • Safety language
  • Storage information
  • Quantity information
  • Other identifying or cautionary information

If a product is transferred into another container for legitimate research purposes, the purchaser must maintain accurate identification, traceability, and applicable warnings.

Arche Research is not responsible for any product after it has been opened, reconstituted, diluted, mixed, transferred, repackaged, relabeled, processed, or otherwise modified.

The purchaser must not use Arche Research labels, certificates, images, trademarks, or documentation to misrepresent a modified or independently sourced product as an unaltered Arche Research product.

11. Resale and Transfer

Products may not be resold, redistributed, supplied, or transferred for a prohibited purpose.

Any authorized resale or transfer must:

  • Comply with all applicable laws
  • Preserve product identity and traceability
  • Preserve required labels and warnings
  • Preserve research-use restrictions
  • Be made only to a qualified and lawful recipient
  • Avoid representations of human or veterinary suitability
  • Avoid representations that the reseller is an authorized Arche Research distributor unless written authorization has been provided

The original purchaser remains responsible for foreseeable claims, losses, and violations resulting from unauthorized transfer, diversion, relabeling, or resale.

12. No Reliance on Customer Communications

Questions answered by Arche Research personnel are intended to assist with ordinary commercial matters such as:

  • Product availability
  • Order status
  • Packaging
  • Shipment tracking
  • Documentation
  • Published product specifications
  • General storage information appearing in product records

No customer-service communication authorizes a prohibited use.

Arche Research personnel are not authorized to provide:

  • Individualized dosing information
  • Administration instructions
  • Treatment recommendations
  • Medical advice
  • Veterinary advice
  • Diagnosis
  • Personal safety assurances
  • Approval of a human or animal protocol
  • Confirmation that a product is suitable for administration

The purchaser may not rely on an informal statement, message, email, social-media post, or conversation as authorization to depart from this policy.

13. Reporting Suspected Misuse

A purchaser must promptly notify Arche Research if the purchaser becomes aware of:

  • Unauthorized access to a product
  • Theft or diversion
  • Material label alteration
  • Counterfeit Arche Research products
  • Suspected unlawful resale
  • Representations that Arche Research products are approved for administration
  • Use of Arche Research branding to promote prohibited uses
  • A significant shipping or product-identity issue requiring traceability review

Arche Research may preserve relevant records and cooperate with carriers, payment providers, service providers, insurers, legal counsel, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, diversion, counterfeiting, or unlawful conduct.

14. Enforcement

Arche Research may take reasonable action in response to an actual or suspected violation of this policy, including:

  • Requesting additional information
  • Holding or cancelling an order
  • Refusing a transaction
  • Limiting quantities
  • Suspending or terminating an account
  • Refusing future transactions
  • Cancelling unfulfilled orders
  • Preserving transaction and communication records
  • Notifying affected payment or shipping providers
  • Pursuing available legal remedies
  • Reporting suspected unlawful activity when appropriate

Arche Research is not required to disclose confidential fraud controls, compliance criteria, investigative methods, supplier information, or the complete basis for a risk decision unless required by law.

15. Assumption of Responsibility

The purchaser assumes full responsibility for the lawful selection, receipt, possession, storage, handling, testing, use, transfer, and disposal of products.

The purchaser is responsible for all persons and organizations that obtain access to products through the purchaser.

The purchaser agrees that Arche Research does not control the product after delivery and cannot verify subsequent handling, storage, modification, transfer, or use.

16. Relationship to Other Policies

This Research Use Policy should be read together with:

  • The Terms of Service

  • The Privacy Policy
  • The Website Disclaimer
  • Product-specific listings and documentation
  • Any order-specific written terms

If this policy conflicts with a separately signed written agreement, the signed agreement controls only to the extent of the specific conflict.

Nothing in this policy limits any right or obligation that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

Arche Research will not evaluate or approve protocols involving human or veterinary administration.
